Valencia Basket is one of the most important clubs in Spain. Champion of the Spanish League, the King’s Cup and the Eurocup on 3 occasions, is also a reference in youth teams, thanks to the creation of L'Alqueria del Basket, the largest basketball facility in Europe, with 15,000 square meters and 13 courts, dedicated to the 50 youth teams (male and female) of the club. The junior team is a good example of the work done in the facilities. They have been proclaimed champion this season of the first Adidas Next Generation of the Euroleague, played in Valencia. They will play the Final Eight on May in Vitoria.
Coach Xavi Albert:
“We are very excited about playing this tournament. We think it is a hard test, and it will have a similar level to the Adidas Next Generation Tournament we played in december, seeing the tournament teams. For us it’s the second big tournament we have to face this season”
Captain Alex Ortega
“We are very happy to have this chance that is given to us, and which is another important part of our human and sports education. We want to show our hard work, which is part of the club philosophy and how excited we are about playing this tournament”
